Summer weather makes everyone look for a sweet, cold treat. Courthouse Coffeebar serves delicious, real-food, gourmet popsicles.

Summer is a busy time at Courthouse. As school lets out, families flock to our outdoor pools, check in together for an indoor workout, or drop by our Coffeebars after a morning at the park. Just like classes and training sessions, we want every aspect of our Club to be simple and fun.

This includes the treats we serve at our Coffeebar.

We partnered with The Hyppo, a gourmet popsicle maker, to give parents a better option for themselves and their kids. We chose Hyppo because of its simple, real-food ingredient list and inventive flavors.

Popsicle-Palooza is June 14-16th, 2024

To kick off the summer, we will sell every flavor of Hyppo popsicles for just $1 at every Courthouse location from June 14th through June 16th.

Flavors include:

  • Sparkling Mango
  • Peanut Butter Pie
  • Orange Pineapple
  • Straight Up Strawberry
  • Watermelon
  • Blackberry
  • Limeade

We are excited for another fantastic summer at Courthouse, which will be full of events, family-friendly programs, swimming, movement, exercise, and fun!

On June 20th, we will be hosting our first major event of the summer: The Club Dance Blacklight Party.

The event will be 100% free for all members and guests. It will feature brand new music, classic songs and moves, and plenty of time for connecting with Club Dancers from all five Courthouse locations. The entire Club Dance instructor crew will rotate throughout the two-hour event.

  • Doors open at 6:00 PM
  • Dancing begins at 6:30 PM
  • Dancing ends at 8:30 PM

The gym at Lancaster will be packed with as many dancers as it can hold. Our friends from Oregon Beverage Services will be giving free drinks, the Courthouse Coffeebar will be open and handing out free Italian soda. Exclusive event gear and food will be available for purchase.

Date Night

To make it easy for parents to join the Club Dance Blacklight Party, Courthouse Date Night will occur simultaneously. Kids Court will be closed so this will be the only childcare available.

  • $25 (first child)
  • $15 (per sibling)
  • Ages 1-12

Date Night access can be purchased beforehand through our easy online portal. Drop-off will start at 6:00 PM and pick-up will begin immediately following the last song.

Date Night will feature supervised games, an inflatable, snacks, and more.

The major construction project at the Battle Creek Courthouse continues. Our trusted partners at Kaufman are doing great work, mostly with demolition efforts in the men’s and women’s locker rooms.

You may hear significant noise in the next few weeks, especially in both group exercise rooms. Demolition work ends each day around 3:00 PM.

Notice to all Battle Creek members. The entire Battle Creek Club location will be closed on June 3rd. We plan to reopen the Club on June 17th.

We will add group classes, swim lessons, and training sessions at the South River Road Club during the closure. The updated schedules will be viewable by May 15th.

The closure will allow the Kaufman crew to make significant progress on demolition, guarantee member safety, and help the project finish on time.

Again, all other Club locations will be open and ready to welcome Battle Creek members during this time and will adapt our class and training sessions to accommodate. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will continue to provide information and updates on the project as it proceeds.

Thank you!

Plans for the upcoming Battle Creek remodel

Post Updated April 16th, 2024

We are thrilled to announce major updates to multiple areas of our Battle Creek location. Tentatively, work will start in April, and we believe the majority of the work will be wrapped up by January 2025.

  • Brand New Locker Rooms*
  • All-New Spaces for Spartan and Performance Training
  • Major Update to Group Exercise Rooms**

And that’s not all! This multi-million dollar project will also give Battle Creek members nearly 2,000 square feet of new weight room space, brand new equipment, and a beautifully updated lobby with a full-menu Courthouse Coffeebar. A majority of the Club will be reworked, replaced, or improved during the project.

We are excited about this project but understand there will be some disruptions. We promise to limit these disruptions as much as we can and communicate consistently throughout the remodel.

And, as always, thank you for being a member!

*Locker rooms will be closed once work begins. Please remove items from your lockers by April 10. Contact Member Services if you’d like to cancel your locker service or move your gear to another Club.

** While we complete work, there will be some changes to our regularly scheduled Group Exercise classes. Check our Class Schedule for updates.

Note: While elevators will be largely unavailable during construction, the Club will remain ADA-compliant, and we will be able to continue to serve all members.

We had a blast at our first-ever Pints and Paddles pickleball tournament.

Salem pickleball tournament at West Salem Courthouse Club Fitness, Pints and Paddles.

On April 5th, Courthouse hosted our first pickleball tournament at our West Salem location. Within two divisions (Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced), we had 24 teams, plus more participants who took advantage of our complimentary Intro To Pickleball lesson.

Courthouse Parties and Event Coordinator Camryn Alves said, “Pints and Paddles was such a fun event! I believe that the success of the event is solely due to the members that came together and the love that is shared for the sport.”

Alves contributes much of the success of the event to the energetic and welcoming Courthouse pickleball community.

“We had volunteers in the morning, who knew they weren’t going to be able to play but poured their heart and soul into the beginners – teaching them how to serve, how to call the score, and giving incredibly helpful tips and tricks. This was so supportive to the beginners division as many were playing this sport for the first time ever.”

Drinks and lunch were provided by local partners Xicha Brewing and Oregon Beverage Service.

Alves looks forward to hosting more pickleball events and tournaments in the future as the Courthouse pickleball community continues to grow.

“I am really excited to have more Pickleball tournaments in the future here at Courthouse. I cannot wait to see more people fall in love with the sport in front of my eyes and see the happiness stretch from ear to ear on all the players as they are participating in the event, whether it be enjoying some food on the sidelines, cheering a friend on, or playing within the tournament.”
