Employee Spotlight: Casey Parks

What are your current roles at Courthouse? What is most rewarding about those roles?

Hospitality Manager at West, Age2O Instructor, and summer sub Instructor for Age Restore

These three positions each have their rewards. Being in leadership and up front allows me to use and showcase many of my strengths and abilities, like helping people find solutions for their current challenges, making members and employees feel welcomed when they are here at our Club, and everything that involves customer service.

Being an Age2O Instructor is rewarding because of the daily impact I get to make on members who take my class. I have a lot of energy, and I get to keep members motivated to finish the workout and feel good doing it!

Subbing for Age Restore has allowed me to re-engage with members and staff. For instance, I had three new people take my Restore class this morning, and I couldn’t tell you how happy it made me that they showed up and liked it. Plus, they said they had never done something like it before but planned to make it a part of their workout week!

How do you train at the Club?

I spend most of my time in the weight room following my own program, but I love jumping into a Performance or Spartan session. CORE and R30 are my favorite classes to take pretty regularly.

What do you do to stay active outside the Club?

I love being outside! I kayak, hike, walk, or paddle, and I steer for my dragon boat team, the Highland Roosters.

Tell us about a member who inspires you.

Lola Hackett. When I was a trainer, I saw her almost daily. She is 75 years young and inspiring because no matter how many people are in Performance or Spartan with her, she will give it her all. She shows up consistently, which is motivating in itself. She is so kind and sweet, with birthday and holiday wishes and cat stories for me; she will always hold a special place in my heart.
