The prize: One lucky winner gets a FREE month of Impact Jiu Jitsu membership.*

The winner will be randomly selected and announced at the start of September, with the free month kicking in for October.

Thank you for being part of the Impact Jiu Jitsu family, we appreciate your support and can’t wait to read what you have to say.

Tryouts for the 2026-27 Courthouse Volleyball Club season are almost here. Here is everything your athlete needs to know before stepping on the court.

Before Tryouts

Along with registering for tryouts through SportsEngine, be sure to complete your CEVA/USAV membership (link available September 1st). A tryout membership is recommended to start, and you can upgrade to a full season membership once your athlete is placed on a team. If you’re not sure which tryout to attend, check the USAV Age Definitions to find the right fit for your athlete’s age.

Girls 12s & 14s Tryouts
November 8th | Battle Creek Courthouse | $25
8 AM to 10 AM (13U)
10 AM to 2 PM (14U, 3 waves)
3 PM to 5 PM (12U)

Girls 16s & 18s Tryouts
November 15th | Battle Creek Courthouse | $25
8 AM to 10 AM (15U)
10 AM to 2 PM (16U, 3 waves)
3 PM to 5 PM (17/18U)

Girls Makeup Tryouts
November 9th (12U through 14U) and November 16th (15U through 18U)
West Salem Courthouse | 6 PM to 8 PM | $25 for new registrations

Most teams are formed on our regular tryout dates, so attending makeup tryouts does lower an athlete’s chance of making a team. If a team fills before makeup tryouts take place, we will not be able to place additional athletes on that team. For the best opportunity to make a team, we encourage athletes to attend our regular tryout dates.

Parents must be present at the conclusion of tryouts for team signing.

We cannot wait to see your athlete on the court!

Parking lot repairs are happening. Here is what you need to know.

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: Parking-Lot-Closure-July-2026-Email-Header.jpg

West Salem members,

As part of our 2026 facility upgrades, the West Salem parking lots will receive fresh asphalt repairs on Friday, July 24th. Both lots will be closed for the day while the work is completed.

Rather than asking you to navigate large equipment, limited parking, and long walks to the door, we are closing the West Salem Club for the day so this project can be finished quickly and safely. All training sessions and club fitness classes at West Salem are cancelled for the day.

Here is what to expect:

  • West Salem will be closed all day on Friday, July 24th
  • All other Courthouse locations will be open with regular hours, and we would love to see you there
  • West Salem Swim Camps will run as scheduled. Camp families should park at Wallace Marine Park, and locker rooms will remain open for campers
  • Both lots will be cured and ready by Saturday morning, when West Salem reopens with regular hours

Swim Camp families, here is what you need to know for Friday:

  • Park at Wallace Marine Park, located just down the street
  • Locker rooms will be open for campers and families
  • Club Management will be on site to help you find your way and answer any questions
  • Please note that only the outdoor pool and locker room areas will be accessible, as the rest of the Club is closed for the day

Thank you for your flexibility! If you have any questions before Friday, please call our Member Services team at 503.364.1731.

Three clinics that take you from first serve to full games

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: General-PBall-Clinic-Apr-2026-Email-Header.jpg

Everyone starts somewhere, and this fall, this is the place.

Our three-part Beginner Clinic Series is back, built to turn brand-new players into confident ones. Each clinic picks up where the last one left off, so start with Clinic 1 and move through the series in order. By the final session, you will have the shots, the strategy, and the confidence to jump into a game anywhere.

Clinic 1: Your starting line. Learn the rules, scoring, and basic shots while getting comfortable rallying. Everything else in the series builds from here.

Clinic 2: Sharpen your control. This session focuses on consistency and keeping rallies alive, plus the simple strategy that helps you stay in the point longer.

Clinic 3: Game on. Put your skills to work in real match situations so you can walk onto any court and know exactly what to do.

For the full experience, register for all three in order. This series will keep running throughout the year, so if a date does not fit your schedule, another round is always on the way.

Clinic Dates:

Clinic 1 | Pickleball 101

  • Saturday, September 12th at Battle Creek from 1 PM to 3 PM
  • Saturday, September 26th at West from 1 PM to 3 PM
  • Saturday, November 7th at Keizer from 1 PM to 3 PM

Clinic 2 | Dink, Drop and Drill

  • Saturday, October 10th at Battle Creek from 1 PM to 3 PM

Clinic 3 | Compete and Play

  • Saturday, November 14th at Battle Creek from 1 PM to 3 PM

Each clinic is $39. Space is limited to 20 participants at Battle Creek and 12 at West and Keizer, so register early to save your spot.
