Lancaster members,

We have good news. The Lancaster weight room is expanding, and we are rearranging equipment to open up more space for you to train!

To make it happen, the weight room will be closed for one day on Monday, July 6th.

All other areas of the Club will remain open, so classes, training, cardio, courts, and the pool are ready for you as usual. If weights are on your schedule that day, you are welcome to visit any other Courthouse location.

The weight room will reopen on Tuesday, July 7th.

Thank you for your patience while we make the switch.

See you in the Club,
The Courthouse Team

Two scheduled closures starting June 29th

West Salem members,

We are making some improvements to our parking lot this summer, and we want to make sure you have the details ahead of time so that you can plan accordingly.

Here is what to expect:

Main lot connected to the building:

  • Date: Monday, June 29th
  • Damaged sections will be removed and repaved first thing Monday morning.
  • The main lot connected to the building (not the lot across the street) will be completely unavailable until mid-afternoon, when work is complete.
  • The lot will be drivable immediately after paving is finished.

A second phase of parking lot work is scheduled for July 24th. We will share details on what to expect closer to that date.

During closures, please use one of the following overflow options:

  • Salem Public Library parking lot
  • Wallace Marine Park

A couple of reminders while parking is tight:

  • Please only park in designated spots
  • Please avoid blocking other members or parking along the walkways.

We appreciate your patience while we take care of this. The finished product will be worth it.

See you in the Club,

The Courthouse Team

Pools will warm up May 15th

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: Pool-Communication-2026-Email-Header.jpg

Good news! The outdoor pools at West Salem and Keizer will begin warming on May 15th, and we could not be more ready.

Lifeguards at both Clubs and the inflatable slide at West Salem will be available starting [fill in date]. Here is what to know before you grab your towel and head out:

West Salem

  • Lifeguards are available daily from 1 PM to 7 PM
  • The inflatable slide is available daily from 2 PM to 6 PM
    • The pool closes daily from 4 PM to 4:30 PM for a lifeguard break and routine maintenance

Keizer

  • Lifeguards are available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1 PM to 7 PM
    • The pool closes from 4 PM to 4:30 PM these days for a lifeguard break and routine maintenance

A note about the outdoor inflatable slides

You may notice the inflatable slide is not at Keizer this year. The slide from Keizer has moved to West Salem, where it will replace the previous slide that had to be retired due to damage we could not repair.

With the slide at West Salem, you can expect a livelier family atmosphere over there this summer. Keizer will naturally have a quieter, more laid back pool experience. We appreciate your understanding and think both pools will have a lot to offer this season!

A few things to keep in mind

Pool time is a good time, and we want to keep it that way for everyone. Before your first visit, here is a quick refresher on a few of our pool policies:

  • A modest swimsuit designed for swimming is required. Exercise apparel and other clothing are not allowed in the pool.
  • Children 13 and younger must have direct adult supervision on the pool deck at all times.
  • All members and guests under 18 are subject to a 9 PM facility curfew.
  • Guests are always welcome! Guest fees and policies apply.

We’ll see you at the pool!

Calling all new pickleball players

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: General-PBall-Clinic-Apr-2026-Email-Header.jpg

Never picked up a pickleball paddle? This is for you!

This spring, we are offering a three-part Beginner Clinic Series designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident, court-ready player. Each clinic builds directly on the one before it, so we recommend starting with Clinic 1 and working your way through the series. By the end, you will have the skills, the strategy, and the confidence to step onto any court and compete.

Note: If you’ve played in our “Beginners Clinic” you’re ready for Clinic 2.

Clinic 1: Start here. Learn the rules, get comfortable with basic shots, and begin rallying with confidence. This is the foundation everything else is built on.

Clinic 2: Once you have the basics down, this will help you develop shot control and consistency. You will work on sustaining rallies and start applying basic strategy to stay in the point longer.

Clinic 3: The final step. With your skills and strategy in place, this clinic puts you in real game situations so you can walk onto any court knowing exactly what to do with a paddle in your hand.

We recommend registering for all three in order to get the full experience. We plan to continue this 3-part series, so if a date does not work, there will always be another opportunity. That also means there is no need to double up on the same day. Give yourself time to practice between each clinic and let the skills sink in before moving to the next one.

Clinic Dates at Battle Creek:

Clinic 1 | Paddle Up/Pickleball 101

  • No current dates

Clinic 2 | Dink, Drop and Drill

  • Saturday, May 16th from 3 PM to 5 PM

Clinic 3 | Compete and Play

  • Saturday, May 16th from 1 PM to 3 PM
  • Saturday, June 6th from 1 PM to 3 PM

Each clinic is $39 and space is limited to 20 participants per session, so register early to save your spot.
